Welcome to
Mental Balance Apparel
This isn’t just clothing—it’s a movement rooted in resilience, mindfulness, and the pursuit of inner strength.
Born from real life battles and the journey toward healing, Mental Balance Apparel was created to honor those who keep showing up—for themselves, for their families, and for their purpose.
Each piece is designed to carry a message—subtle but strong—reminding us that balance isn’t something we find, it’s something we build.
Wear it as armor. Wear it with intention.
Our Story — Mental Balance Apparel
Born from Darkness. Built for Balance.

In 2014, I lost my brother Jaquan to suicide—just one month after we had filed incorporation paperwork for our vision: Cutright Corporation. He was leading Cosmic Touch Multimedia, and I was launching Cutright Printing. His passing broke me open—but it also cracked the seal on a deeper mission.
A Journey Into the Mind

In 2015, while working the paint line at Ford Dearborn Truck, I dove into books on psychology and sacred geometry. I was studying “The Beginner’s Guide to Constructing the Universe” and asking questions about patterns—how they show up in nature, in behavior, and in my own life. During a meditative moment at work, I reflected on my family's astrological signs and realized something powerful: I was the middle child, positioned dead center between my siblings’ signs. It hit me hard:“I am the balance.”That awareness became my anchor—and it sparked a design that would define everything that came after.
The Birth of MALBOM

From those reflections, I created a personal symbol I called MALBOM, short for: (Mental Alchemy Life, Balancing Of the Mind) MALBOM became my personal hieroglyph—an emblem of supreme mental and spiritual balance. The ankh at the center represents the spark of mental life, the wings symbolize elevation, and the whole form is a visual mantra: Balance is transformation, only in moments of stilness can you find inner balance and purpose. I printed it mostly in gold on black to symbolize the gold found within darkness. I’m a Black man, and this was my message to myself—and others—about mental strength born out of struggle.
From Symbol to Movement

That symbol evolved into the official logo of Pharaohs of Ascension, Inc., when I rebranded in 2017 and formally incorporated in 2019. Then in 2023, a new wave began: I introduced Mental Balance Apparel at a youth event in Detroit, with my kids modeling the first pieces.Bold text. Black and white. Yin and yang. Rooted in meaning.By 2024, Mental Balance officially launched under the POA umbrella, with its own identity and purpose.
